Aurora Illinois Short Sales ~ Another Short Sale Success Story...
Today I am reminded of why I love to sell short sales!
Yesterday my short sale listing in Aurora Illinois closed. It was so rewarding to hear the words of gratitude from the seller. It was rewarding to know that I just helped another person get out of a stressful situation.
This was the quickest short sale closing that I have had to date. I listed the house on September 1, 2009, the seller accepted a contract on October 6, 2009 and it closed November 17, 2009. List to close 78 days.
But I am not taking all the credit, everyone involved worked together as a team. We had an awesome short sale negotiator with Wells Fargo, that was quick to respond and easy to work with. The seller was quick to get all the documents together that he needed and the attorney's office was in constant communication with the lender.

How nice to have a short sale in such a 'short" time !! I have worked with Wells Fargo, Citi Bank and a few others on short sales and it took a few months (average 3 months). The last short sale was with Bank of America - we just closed last Friday at 6:30pm after 9 long months!! I could not believe how long this one took! It was a team effort also and we were all very frustrated. I wanted to know if you have had short sales with Bank of America - I have 2 listings right now that will be short sales very soon and they are BOTH with Bank of America (I cringed when I found out). Do you have any suggestions on how to speed up negotiations with this particular lender? We must of faxed the same docs 5 x's - over and over again, and I called every Monday and Thurs. Any suggestions??

Maria - Rock on !!! I love successful short sales stories ! The way I look at it is one more short sale is one less foreclosure ! They are a lot of work, but worth it ! Awesome job with that fast list to close timeframe !!!
